Homonymity
She was taught to forget me in her spare time.
Her dark blond youth sweltered with summer.
Summer turned into one long rendezvous.
I relayed soprano inklings in her ear.
Astride my alto shame she sang unprompted.
I heard wilderness akin to woods near home.
Wild homonyms conceded to wooden blame.
Blame thriving in simple minds within taut frames.
Simple minds hold fast within untested frames.
Heritage reifies even river flow.
How slowly can a river rinse its glow?
She may have loved me mainly for show.
First love hovers where the body grows.
She learned to forget our love in her spare time.
