Who Stays Whole (draft)
One little brother and another little brother
one rapacious for holiness one
furtive quiet and contained with duty
to relieve the stains of learned original
sin as explained retained detained within
the body and the mind the notes of staves
sung well hung unto the kapellmeister
to the tune of instrumental lungs
one little baritone and another
mid-rise stung one releasing tongued quarter tones
eighth tones half tones in one sweeping measured
oral reign of spun syllabic gesture
far flung into the tubular inflection
of one little brother and another
silent one in keeping to his little self still young
