Moldering versus smoldering, the shucked shadows hold their half-hearted

place-kick in the fallow yard near tallow tapers ephemeral 

drowning in disappearance as recitative versus aria 

injurious in brittle contrast to the lush vowel tones 

all hushed open-mouthing hollow the un-hushed feeling across 

stage mothers, ushers, members of the unwitting audience plagued

by legacy embers burning themselves out in the open 

season seasoning the various dangling participles twice more
