Valediction
I like your absence
of good sense. I sense
your telling yourself
you can smooth over
what you have made
difficult on others. You love
your skill. I hear you
trill what you think
will advance you beyond
concentration. Nothing to do
with the person
hearing you.
Once I believed you felt
as I felt and now do not
feel. I don't
miss that. I don't miss
the energy it takes
to look down on
anyone and presume
a font of wisdom
in yourself. Now I don't
release those intimate
details. Know the danger
of purported brains.
They cease working
just as you have come
to a halt. Unkindly
kindling a past
I do not enjoy nor am I
happy or unhappy
for you. I treasure
a better solitude.
