He Missed One

He missed one of the bonuses

of being gay: not having to defend

progeny for their unlikeable and 

inflammatory behavior as 

normal and indicative of

pure genius. Mirroring what he thought 

his own that went astray when he took on 

this orphan who appeared out of the blue

seeming to need him. He decided then

to father it up and lambaste anyone

who found his child an enlarged mosquito.

The new father had scratched an itch

then found it a bitch to sustain this 

lifelong obligation he could never 

shake despite temptation to rid himself 

of a gambit where he played a bit part.
