Self-Portrait with Curvature
I voiced my self-portrait with curvature
of the spine, the same as beautiful Vicki's
curved spine nobody noticed but she
disclosed to me. I could not believe anything
could be wrong with her, the delicate fingers of
her piano hands, how she ungloved them
even outside in winter when ice delayed
the bus with everyone waiting
to be shuttled to school, safe with pencils
and private moods, yet so much to hide
from the others, always others trying
to set the tone, competing little
fΓΌhrers with bias bones forcing their
culture.
